Japan has eight million gods, and most of them have been forgotten. A forgotten god starves, goes mad and starts eating towns. Ten years ago, nine-year-old Hayama Itsuki took his little sister’s place and was buried alive as an offering to one of them. Seven days later, he dug himself out.
