Can we make the futures we chose the right ones? Women are required to make a “Choice” at eighteen. Course I: remain physically eighteen, preserving both body and beauty, but live only until forty-five. Course II: grow old naturally, as people always have, and live to around ninety. Satsuki, the daughter of an actress who became the very symbol of Course I, dreams of becoming an actress herself. Her best friend Riri dreams of becoming an idol. Someday, they promise, they’ll each make it to the top of their own world. But once they make their Choices, the lives of these two inseparable friends begin to follow different paths.
